Mounting

Some examples how the windlass can be mounted:

The winch and the rollers can be mounted in the bow and the stern. As the anchor line can be turned in all directions the windlass can be mounted in many ways both outside and inside the boat. When mounted inside many unused spaces can come to use. The windlass can for example be placed under a bunk or inside the stern, in the engine room etc.
1) Outside mounting with roller and ccover on the deck
2) Inside mounting with roller throough the stem
3) Outside mounting with roller and cover on the stern platform
4) Inside mounting with roller on the deck
5) Anchoring at a buoy with windlass
6) For sailboat  with negative stem or integrated stern platform
7) Inside mounting with several rollers
8) Inside mounting with the windlass in the bottom of the boat and roller on the deck
9) Inside mounting with the windlass in the bottom of the boat and roller on the stern platform
10) Holding rope attached to a trailer with help of a windlass
11) Inside mounting with the windlass mounted under the deck
12) Inside mounting with the windlass on the inside of the stem

Recommended distances when mounting

B: The distance B between the anchor and the first roller should be 250 mm. Minimum 150 mm.
M: The distance M between the rear end of the winch and the first pulley/roller should be as long as possible to reduce the strain on the line guide.
